Decide on Finished Vs. Unfinished Cabinet Doors
We offer both unfinished paint-grade cabinet doors and drawer faces, as well as finished cabinet doors and drawer faces that are coated with a Hydroplus waterborne available in any Sherwin Williams color. This colored coating is much more durable than paint and dries quicker with a harder finish for better durability.
Choose a Hinge Option
Depending on how you need your door to attach to the cabinet boxes, we can bore for concealed hinges as needed. We can help you with deciding on which hinge works best for your scenario. You’ll first need to know if your cabinet boxes are frameless or framed.
Frameless cabinets are more sleek and modern, or used in commercial settings. Most existing kitchens will have cabinet boxes with face frames. The photo to the right illustrates the difference between these two options.

Determine Measurements for Cabinet Doors & Drawer Faces
For each cabinet door, there are a few different measurements we will need to know:
-
Rail Width (runs horizontal) – Standard is 2.5”, but we can customize if need be.
-
Stile Width (runs vertical) – Most orders use the same stile width as rail width, but this can also be customized if need be.
-
Total Door Width – Measurement from left edge to the right edge when hung.
-
Total Door Height – Measurement from top edge to the bottom edge when hung.
NOTE: Drawer face terminology works the same. However, it’s important to note that any drawer faces smaller than 6 1/2” will automatically have a reduced top and bottom rail to 2” unless otherwise requested.
